Photo Journal: Shandong

Two weeks ago, President & CEO Lillian Thogersen, China Adoption Supervisor Elizabeth Rose, China Development Director Bixin Huang and a pediatrician returned from a special trip the Shandong province in China. WACAP was invited there by the CCCWA to meet children with special needs for whom we may find families. In eight days, WACAP staff saw 140 kids! About 75 of these children will become available for adoption through WACAP’s Family Finders program, and thanks to your donations many will receive special Promise Child grants (adoption subsidies that break down financial barriers that may prevent a child from being adopted). We’ve also committed to providing medical equipment and other necessities to the orphanages so that the other children residing there will get the help they need.
