“We think that you do great work and are happy to be supporting you,” Kristi and Lin Gable and their friend Zoey Kapusinski said. They handed WACAP staff a check for $661 and gave us all a story that inspires our work.
A few months prior, Zoey, Kristi, and Lin decided to make a charitable difference for “the children in the greatest need.” The three girls — all three adopted, one through WACAP — organized and oversaw a project at the Bellevue Arts Fair. Each of the girls invested between 26 and 80 hours this summer making handmade cards to sell at the July festival. Joined throughout the day by friends Jhensi, Rebecca, Lexie, Cece, and Fiona, the girls spent 12 hours at their booth collecting funds “for WACAP” … for the children.
Thank you Zoey, Lin, and Kristi — and thank you to your friends — for making our work possible and for extending our reach. You make the kind of difference that changes lives.
