WACAP Milestones: Reese’s Family Portrait

Reese and Hannah, both born in China, joined their family in June. Their mom, Jenny, recently captured one of those moments that shows just how much a family means to a child who needs one.  Jenny tells us:

We did our Fall family photos last weekend and I got the prints ordered right away.  I ordered a HUGE print for our wall and it came in the mail today.  I immediately got it out and hung it on the wall, replacing last year’s photo where the 4 of us were holding photos of Reese and Hannah.  Reese just happened to come in the front room right as I finished hanging the photo and his reaction was absolutely priceless.  He got SOOOOO excited, jumping up and down, clapping, and squealing “Reesie’s FAMILY!!!!” over and over again.  He got my phone and wanted his picture taken with it!  He went running in the other room and came back in dragging his brother Ryker and sister Haylie.  At first, they couldn’t figure out what all the excitement was about…..but BLESS THEIR HEARTS that they understood pretty quickly and joined in his excitement, saying “YES, Reese!  That is your family!  WE are your family!!”.  I, of course, joined in the excitement…..but with tears streaming down my cheeks.
