Cherishing Each Moment Home

Yelisey and Marina, now home with their family

Just months ago, Steven and Mallory traveled to Russia to welcome their son and daughter, adopted through WACAP, into their family. Now a family of four, they’re enjoying the first months of being together … and focusing on what matters most: each other.

Today, Yelisey, age 3 and Marina, age 4, are settling comfortably into their new routine. During this first year home, their parents are keeping the activities low-key and focusing on building strong attachments. And Yelisey and Marina are developing trust and growing strong bonds, while learning more and more each day. Meanwhile, from (very) successful dentist appointments to making their first birthday cake for Papa, the family is cherishing each moment.

Russian legislation has since changed, with U.S. adoption from Russia no longer allowed. Steven and Mallory, with their son and daughter home, feel fortunate to have been united with their children before these laws changed.

Yelisey and Marina, we are so glad you are home and enjoying the warmth of your family.
