A Month of Celebration

During National Adoption Month, we give voice to children who are still waiting for that opportunity, celebrate the bond that unites adoptive parents with their sons and daughters, and recommit to providing every child with the care and security that will nurture their development and well-being.

~2012 National Adoption Month Presidential Proclamation

November is National Adoption Month, and we’ll be celebrating here every day. You’ll hear from WACAP parents and adoptees, sharing stories of the difference adoption has made in their lives. You’ll hear from WACAP supporters, who will share what insprires them to do the work that they do. You’ll hear from WACAP staff, with stories of how we bring children from hope to home.

Nothing makes a bigger difference to a child than family.

WACAP (World Association for Children and Parents) is one of the largest and most experienced international nonprofit adoption and child assistance agencies in the United States. Since 1976, we’ve placed over 10,000 children with loving adoptive parents and provided food, medical care and education to more than 200,000 children around the world.
