Family As a Priority for Children First: Raising Your Voice

Ask Your Legislators to Support the Children in Families First Act of 2013 (CHIFF)

WACAP Family - Photo by Shayna GosneyIt goes without saying that, from the moment we welcome our children into our lives, we give them the love and support they need to thrive … because that’s our priority. As their parents, as their family members, as their friends.

But presently, the idea that every child deserves to grow and thrive in a family needs to be said … because U.S. foreign policy reflects a different priority.

That’s because when it comes to meeting the needs of children — the millions of children without families across the globe — the solution of “a family” is markedly absent from the equation. CHIFF is legislation with bipartisan support that makes giving children in need a family a priority.

Please join WACAP and many more leaders in adoption by supporting it. Find out what you can say here.

WACAP (World Association for Children and Parents) is one of the largest and most experienced international nonprofit adoption and child assistance agencies in the United States. Since 1976, we’ve placed over 10,000 children with loving adoptive parents and provided food, medical care and education to more than 200,000 children around the world.
