National Adoption Day is celebrated each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It’s a national movement to raise awareness of the 100,000 children living in foster care waiting for permanent, loving, families.
Since the first National Adoption Day in 2000, 44,500 children have been adopted on this day! That is certainly something to celebrate!
WACAP has been finding families for children in foster care since 1976, including twins Caleb and Stella. You can hear more of their story in our winter edition of WACAP Today, which will be available soon!
