A Thank You from WACAP’s Volunteer Coordinator

Courtney Casady, WACAP’s Development and Volunteer Coordinator

Today I would like to extend a special thanks to some of the behind-the-scenes individuals who help WACAP everyday- our volunteers! So far this year the WACAP in-office and event volunteers have donated over 1700 hours of their time working directly with our staff or remotely. Currently, we have 20 volunteers who come in at least once a month and up to twice a week working in each of our programming departments, social services, accounting, development and Family Finders departments. These individuals come from various backgrounds ranging from former adoptees to college professors and police officers and are all members of our WACAP family.

The weekend of our Gala we were overwhelmed by support when we had 80 individuals show up and combined, donate over 420 hours in one day helping staff accomplish everything from set up, selling raffle tickets, to cleaning up afterwards. This year’s Gala was a raging success thanks to the talents and commitment offered by the volunteers who made it happen!

WACAP volunteers are dedicated, professional, compassionate and an integral part of furthering our mission. On behalf of the WACAP staff, I would like to thank each and every one of them for their unique and much appreciated support.
