“So Much Joy Already”

Ting-Hsuan in Taiwan, before coming home

This spring, life changed for Ting-Hsuan, who was adopted from Taiwan at age 2 and who came home in May.

Parting from her foster family in Taiwan, and learning different people and places, brought some difficult moments for Ting-Hsuan initially. But in her first few months home, she gained something that wouldn’t change: the love and stability of a family that was hers.

Together with her parents Chad and Shanda, and in the company of her new brother and sister, they’re enjoying their first summer home.

Shanda says of her daughter, “She has brought us so much joy already, considering how short a time period that she has been a part of our family.”

These smiles, captured after a few days home, tell the same story.
